This instrument has been professionally cleaned in our shop and repaired to full playability. All this is visible in the pictures, and none of it affects the playability of the horn. There is also a small amount of light pitting and scratching inside the bell flare. There are a few areas of light scratching and a small amount of light pitting on the valve cluster from regular playing. As for the aesthetic condition of the horn, there are a couple of minuscule dings and scuffs on the horn.
The valves have very good compression and feel very mechanically sound, with no wiggle from side to side. This horn looks very nice and plays very well. The leadpipe has K-MODIFIED stamped on the mouthpiece receiver. Reads: HENRI/ SELMER/ PARIS/ SELMER/ MADE IN FRANCE/ ®. The inside of the bell has been polished to a bright shine. This horn is finished in raw brass, and has a satin patina finish. The bell is 4 5/8″ and has a small bell wreath or “kranz, which gives the horn improved projection and improves responsiveness.
